Technology of high-purity metals and metal products for magnetron spattering

in_p_9.jpgThis engineering solution includes battery of methods based on different physicochemical principles, such as chlorine technology, metallothermy, transport reactions, hydrogen reduction, extraction, sorption, ion exchange, fractional crystallization, fused electrolyte electrolysis, zone refining, directed crystallization, high-vacuum annealing, etc.

Tantalum, niobium, titanium, aluminum and high-purity aluminum-based alloys are necessary for electronics of new generation production (dielectric high-temperature layers in thermal printers, contact and barrier layers in integrated circuits, etc.) and in medicine.

Research level and quality of produced materials ensures full replacing of the equivalent imported products and creating of export potential. New materials on the basis of rare metals ensure competitiveness of products and their technologies.

Metal purity in products: titanium - 4N; tantalum - 5N; aluminum and aluminum-based alloys - 7N. Estimated usage - 10-15 tons per year.

Primary demand of socially significant industry branches and scientific researches for these metals will be ensured by pilot engineering base of Federal State Research and Design Institute of Rare-Metal Industry “Giredmet”. Commercial production development of the listed new materials is planned to take place at “Experimental chemico-metallurgical plant of Giredmet” JSC, “Uralredmet” JSC, Chusovoy Metallurgical Works ( “CMW” PA), “Volhovsky aluminum plant” JSC.

New metallic powders and composite materials and technologies have patent clearance and are the subjects of patenting
