Technology research for magnetostrictive rare-earth materials and iron alloys with perfect structure by casting method

The engineering solutions are based on efficient casting and directional crystallization combined process conduction which provides composition homogenizing throughout ingot length and necessary structure.

Rare-earth-metal-iron alloys, rare-earth-metal-iron-cobalt alloys which are element base for production of instruments and devices in oil production, mechanical engineering, geological facilities will be created.

Magnetostrictive materials and bars with 10-30 mm diameter and 100-200 mm length, longitudinal crystal orientation and magnetomechanical coupling coefficient is <45%, and material density in core is >9000 kg/m3.

Prospective magnetostrictive alloys production and consumption volume is 10-20 tons per year.
